Singing is one of the great things that we can all do together and enjoy. You don’t need to be an experienced singer – Rob’s choirs are for everyone. Just turn up and have fun.
The choirs are short-term (nine weeks) and involve learning 18 songs with some theme linking them. At the end we have a small “concert” to show off our work. And each week there’s a great live band to accompany us – Dr Rob & The Jabbers.
The next choir is the third of four on the theme “Elements”. This one is “Songs About Fire”. Fire can mean passion (“Light My Fire”) or danger (“Beds Are Burning”). It can also mean warmth and comfort (“Here Comes The Sun”) or light in the darkness (“Lay Down / Candles In The Rain”). Some of the songs you will know, and some you may not.
“Songs About Fire” starts on Monday night 21st October (2024), at North Sydney Community Centre, Sydney (Australia), and finishes on 16th December. You will be able to enrol here from 23 September.
The list below has all the songs we’ll learn. Versions of all the songs, as recorded by the band, are in a playlist here.
When you enrol, you will be able to download both lyrics and full music for all the songs.
